Strategic Plans
The Respiratory Care Board's (RCB) mission is to protect and serve consumers by licensing qualified respiratory care practitioners, enforcing the provisions of the Respiratory Care Practice Act, expanding the availability of respiratory care services, increasing public awareness of the profession, and supporting the development and education of respiratory care practitioners.
The RCB takes an active role in a strategic planning process and continually strives to enforce its mandate and mission in the most efficient manner, through exploring new and/or revised, policies, programs, and processes. The RCB routinely reviews and updates the strategic plan in response to changing conditions, needs, and priorities. At each session, the RCB reviews progress on objectives over the previous year and strategizes to meet the challenges of the coming year.

Strategic Plan Development
The RCB is beginning the process of developing its next strategic plan. As part of this process, the RCB is seeking input from licensees, consumers, professional organizations, and other interested stakeholders. Your feedback will help the Board evaluate its current efforts and identify priorities and opportunities for the future. Survey responses are anonymous.
The stakeholder survey will be available through Friday, November 13, 2026.
